Mr. Finkelstein comes to Madison Trust Co. with over twenty-five years of experience in global financial markets. Previously he served as President and CEO of Helix Financial Systems, a subsidiary of Cantor Fitzgerald, where he managed the development of systems successfully marketed and sold to major financial institutions. Before that he was the Managing Director of Global Finance Operations at UBS. While there he developed the global repo and money market business at UBS into one of the strongest financing operations on Wall Street. Mr. Finkelstein spent the last eight years as chairman of Broad Financial LLC where he oversees day-to-day operations. Mr. Finkelstein’s astute decisive leadership has become renowned for its outstanding bottom line results and team building professionalism.
Mervyn KleinCEO, Board Member, and Shareholder
Mr. Klein brings to Madison Trust Co. more than two decades in the industrial real estate sector. A founding partner of LMS Realty, he was responsible for transforming the historic American Can Factory into a thriving hub for the creative arts. As a principal in Hudson Development LLC, he developed the Anheuser-Busch Distribution Facility. Under the banner of MK Read and Company, he served as a technological business consultant bringing together tech savvy startups with industrial leaders like Lucent-Bell. Mr. Klein spent the last eight years as CEO of Broad Financial where he oversees the business development aspects of their Self Directed IRA business. Mr. Klein’s acuity in accessing business climate and personality will bring Madison Trust Co. to the forefront of the self-directed retirement industry.
Daniel GleichPresident, Board Member, and Shareholder
Mr. Gleich brings 25 years of experience in managing the operational side of business ventures. Mr. Gleich’s storied financial career began as a 14 year old entrepreneur with the founding of Creditline, a credit repair company. During his college years, he was instrumental in the financial grounding of Time Equipment Corp., a time and attendance business. Subsequently Mr. Gleich served as Managing Director at R.B. Miller & Associates, a broadly-focused real estate group whose client list included names like the Museum of Modern Art and McKesson. Subsequently, he partnered with Mervyn Klein and founded Hudson Development, a real estate development company. There he was instrumental in developing large scale projects like the 400,000 sf College Point Graphic Communications Center, Prada USA’s 175,000 sf headquarters and distribution center, and numerous other industrial and commercial developments. Mr. Gleich spent the last eight years as President of Broad Financial where he oversees the operational aspects of their Self Directed IRA business.
Jim RiswoldBoard Member
Mr. Riswold has 25 years of experience in the financial services and trust industry. He started work with The First National Bank in Sioux Falls in the accounting department. A year and a half later he moved to the trust department where he stayed until he left the bank to participate in the formation of Corundum Trust Company in September of 2002. During his tenure at the bank, Mr. Riswold continued his education at the Cannon Financial Institutes Corporate Trust and Securities Operations Schools. At the time of his departure from the bank, he was the Vice President and Manager of the Trust Operations Division for the bank’s 2.5 billion dollar trust department. While at the bank he also served as a member of the Trust Executive Committee, the Trust Review Committee, the Bank Operations Committee, and the Bank Strategic Technology Committee. As a founding member of Corundum Trust Company, Mr. Riswold has served as its Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board since its inception. He earned his CTFA designation in July of 2005. Mr. Riswold has also participated in the formation of four other trust companies in South Dakota for whom he also served as a director.
David TimpeCPA, Board Member
Mr. Timpe, a South Dakota resident, retired as a partner in a large regional CPA firm. Since then, he’s been the Interim CFO of a start-up Internet advertising company; Interim CFO for five different Midwestern healthcare facilities; Interim CFO for a telemedicine company; and interim CEO of a Midwestern Hospital and School. Mr. Timpe has been on a Board of a publically traded restaurant company and helped transition a company in the hospitality industry from private ownership, financed by investor loans, into a NYSE listed company. He currently serves on a number of Boards including a bank and its Audit Committee; two different Investment Committees (one healthcare and one religious); Healthcare insurance company Finance Committee; construction/apartment rental company; a State of SD financing Authority; and four SD Trust Companies.

Charles KnopfDirector of Operations
Charles Knopf’s extensive Self Directed IRA experience and considerable talent are reflected in every facet of our organization. Charles’s focus is on addressing emerging trends while ensuring that our existing processes are top of the line. With 5 years of employment in the Self Directed IRA space, attendance at countless industry events, and CISP, AML/BSA certifications, Charles leverages his IRA know-how to make Madison Trust Company the industry leader that it is.
Charles’s primary responsibility is liaising with the South Dakota Division of Banking to implement the Division’s regulations, ensuring account safety and security. This involves preparing for regularly scheduled audits, as well as coordinating requisite board and trust committee meetings. He is involved in all high-level decisions including updating policies and procedures, improving accounting controls, implementing cybersecurity measures, and procuring insurance and legal protection.

A native of Detroit, MI, Charles’ hobbies include spending time with family, volunteering within his community and swimming.
Helen Hong is Madison Trust’s Controller, a position that has a variety of positions fall under its umbrella. Helen serves as the company’s bookkeeper, payroll handler, HR representative, official onboarding contact for new hires, and adviser to President Daniel Gleich on financial matters.
Helen is a CPA with 13 years of accounting experience, with most of them coming as the Director of Accounting/Operations at Total Care Rx. After a 1+ year stint performing audit work at EOS Accountants, Helen joined Madison Trust in January 2019.
A strong detail-oriented approach and a passion for finding “what falls through the cracks” within a company is Helen’s most prominent calling card and a big reason for her success. Hong Kong born, Queens, NY raised, Helen’s hobbies include running (she ran in the 2017 NYC Marathon) and baking.
A member of the Madison Trust team since 2012, Eli Davidson now serves as CIO and leader of our technology department. Eli’s days are consumed with all things technology to ensure that Madison Trust stays on the cutting-edge. His strengths include his proficiency in maintaining the most up-to-date systems as well as his democratic leadership style with the 8 developers he oversees.
A native of our former home of Monsey, NY, Eli’s sparse free time is mostly spent swimming and reading philosophy.
Brian BoisierDirector of Marketing
Brian Boisier heads our marketing department and has worked tirelessly since his hire in May 2018 to solidify Madison Trust’s digital imprint. His efforts to increase Madison’s digital presence include reputation management, lead acquisition, and affiliate marketing/partnerships. Simply put, anything you see online from Madison Trust, Brian was heavily involved.
Throughout his 12 years of experience in the digital marketing field, Brian has developed a keen understanding of how strong practices can truly grow a company. After cutting his teeth as a web developer at Kaplan Test Prep from 2007-2014, Brian transitioned to a Digital Marketing Manager role at the NYS Society of CPAs. About 3 years later, Brian served in another digital marketing role at Huntington Learning for 6 months until he joined Madison Trust as the Director of Marketing.
Brian’s infusion of digital innovation and optimization to Madison Trust’s marketing have helped propel the company into the modern age. Outside of his digital marketing exploits, Brian’s earliest claim to fame might be his appearance in a McDonald’s commercial at the age of 4.
Shaine TimminsManager of Investments Team
As Investment Manager at Madison Trust, Shaine Timmins is charged with overseeing the execution of investment requests, from the document review stage through the investment funding stage. Her chief responsibilities include communicating document requirements to investors and investment sponsors, as well as processing outgoing money via checks and wires. A former member of Madison Trust’s customer support staff, Shaine is well-versed in many aspects of Madison’s processes and utilizes this knowledge in being as efficient as possible.
Shaine’s familiarity with a wide range of Madison employees’ job duties also allows her to more easily identify challenges and come up with practical solutions. Her strong communication skills make her a strong leader to her small, but effective team. A native of West Milford NJ, Shaine enjoys playing the trombone and attending concerts in her free time.
