Eugene Poverni

Eugene Poverni is the CEO of Poverni Sheikh Group (PSG), a Maryland and New York based commercial real estate development and credit firm. Under his leadership, PSG has expanded to 30 employees, and developed and financed $780 million in real estate assets. Prior to founding PSG, Mr. Poverni was a Private Equity lawyer at Fried Frank. Mr. Poverni holds a J.D. from the George Washington University, and an M.B.A from the University of Maryland.

Eduardo Karpat

Eduardo Karpat is a Principal and Credit Committee member of PSG and the Co-founder of Lapa Capital, a firm dedicated to alternative investments in both fixed income and equity I private markets, and former Managing Director of Marketfield Asset Management, a large New York registered investment advisor, where he spent 10 years overseeing several of the firm’s areas such as pricing and global investor relations. Between 2003 and 2009, Eduardo held several positions at ABN AMRO and Merrill Lynch, focused mainly on investments, derivatives, and pricing. Eduardo holds Masters in Finance from London Business School and holds an Electrical Engineer degree from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo.
